FOR SALE: Beautiful 1963 Manuel Velasquez "El Classico", spruce/brazilian rosewood with original Lansdorfer tuners. Built in his NY shop, this guitar is signed by the master himself, and shows only normal laquer aging with minimal playing wear. The guitar is a comfortable 650mm, with great action, easy neck and all the playability/sound characteristics which make Velasquez guitars both prized and collectible. With Metro/humidifying case. For Sale: 1974 Jose Ramirez 1A Classical Guitar. Indian Rosewood and Red Cedar. Scale length - 664mm
Built by Luthier Arturo Sanzano. According to previous owner the back cracked in 1979. It was professionally cleated then and has been stable ever since. One lacquer crack on top under 6th string - both are very hard to see and will not show up in photographs. All original, though the frets were recrowned last year (by Alan Chapman of Amherst).
Guitar comes with a Mark Leaf flight case. $4500.00 for both.

We live in West Granby, CT and my 6 year old son loves to "play" his electric guitar with built-in amp and wants to play "Sweet Home Alabama" and stuff like that. He started taking guitar lessons last year at a local music store and learned to play a lot of chords but we stopped in the spring/summer. Admittedly, I do not know very much about guitar instruction for kids and would like to know if there is anyone in the area who teaches. Also, is there a tried-and-true method for teaching guitar?
