GREATER HARTFORD ACADEMY of the ARTS
HARTT SCHOOL at the UNIVERSITY of HARTFORD Directions from UCONN Greater Hartford Campus (A) to Millard Auditorium (B) Directions | Area Map | Campus Map (pdf: Millard Auditorium is in Bldg. 17) From I-91: Exit 35B, Rte 218 West towards Bloomfield. Travel Route 218 West approximately four miles, passing a major shopping center on the left, over railroad tracks, to the junction of routes 218 and 189. Take a left onto Bloomfield Avenue (Route 189) and proceed to the University of Hartford entrance two miles on the left. From I-84: Exit 44. If westbound, turn right at the end of the ramp and then at the next traffic light, take a left onto Prospect Avenue (north). If eastbound, bear left at the stop sign and then at the traffic light, turn left onto Prospect Avenue (north). Follow Prospect Avenue 2.5 miles to its downhill end at the junction of Route 44. Take a right onto Albany Avenue (Route 44), followed by a quick, sharp left onto Bloomfield Avenue (Route 189 ). The campus is a half mile on the right.
REAL ART WAYS Directions From I-91 North or South: From either 91 North or South take I-84 West in Hartford and follow directions below. Directions From I-84 East or West: From either 84-West or 84-East take Exit 46 - Sisson Avenue. At the end of the long exit ramp, turn left at the light , onto Sisson Avenue. Very quickly you come to another light (Capitol Avenue); turn left. Your third right is Arbor Street (if you pass the UHaul you've gone too far.) Turn right onto Arbor Street; you will immediately see our large sign on the left. Turn into the driveway at the sign, and proceed all the way to the back of the building. You will see lights, windows, an entry way, and people. Park and come in!
CHARTER OAK CULTURAL CENTER Directions From I-91 North or South: From either 91 North or South take exit 29A in Hartford, labeled “Capitol Area”. Bear right and take the second exit labeled “Prospect Street to Main Street”. Turn left at the stoplight at the end of the ramp and go straight. At the second light turn right onto Charter Oak Avenue. After the turn, the center is the third building on the left with two domes on top. To park at Betances School, instead of turning right onto Charter Oak Avenue, turn left and take your first left into the Betances parking lot. Directions From Points West: From points west, take 84 East to 48B (the “Capitol Avenue” exit). At the end of the ramp, take a left onto Capitol Avenue and go straight until the road ends. Take a right onto Main Street. Turn left at the first light onto Charter Oak Avenue and the Cultural Center is the first building on the right with two domes on top. To park at Betances School continue on Charter Oak Avenue about 500 feet past the Cultural Center and the school will be on your left. Directions From Points East: From points east, take 84 West to exit 54 (the “Downtown Hartford” exit). At the end of the ramp, turn left onto Columbus Boulevard. At the fifth light, turn right onto Charter Oak Avenue. After the second light, the Cultural Center is the building with two domes on top on the left side of the street just before Main Street. To park at Betances School, when you first turn onto Charter Oak Avenue, proceed straight past the intersection of Popieluszko Court and the school parking lot will be on your right. You will reach Betances before you reach the Cultural Center.
